AQS QuiltWeek – Phoenix, Arizona

PELOTA PLAYER

Paducah, Kentucky, USA – Laura Di Cera from San Lazzaro di Savena is a semifinalist for the 2014 AQS QuiltWeek® – Phoenix, Arizona, February 5 – 8, 2014 at the Phoenix Convention Center.
Laura has been chosen to display the quilt, Pelota Player, along with 249 others in this AQS contest.
...
Regardless of how Pelota Player places in the final judging, all semifinalists ́ quilts will be displayed at the show, which is expected to draw more than 15,000 people.
AQS Founder and President Meredith Schroeder says, “Extraordinary quilts are being made by today’s quilters, and the contest quilts represent an extensive variety of styles, sizes, and techniques. Each quilt in the show is an intricate, creative work of art to enjoy.”
Quilts were entered in this international contest from 42 U.S. states and 7 other countries.
Come see a wide range of special exhibit quilts including: Stitch Like an Egyptian, Route 66 Quilts, Oh, Wow! Miniature Quilts from the National Quilt Museum, Cow Stampede, GO! Have Fun Quilt Challenge; Quilted in Honor, SAQA Masters II, the Modern Quilt Challenge, and the Arizona Centennial Quilt.
The American Quilter’s Society hosts seven shows annually, each with its own quilt contest. Besides the Phoenix show, AQS hosts other prestigious shows in Lancaster, Pennsylvania; Paducah, Kentucky; Charlotte, North Carolina; Grand Rapids, Michigan; Chattanooga, Tennessee; and Des Moines, Iowa.

Per chi fosse curioso di sapere cosa è esattamente l'AQS, ho fatto un "copia-incolla" di quello che si trova scritto sul sito (cliccate QUI e ci entrerete direttamente)

WHAT IS AQS?

The American Quilter's Society is a quilt book publisher and quilt magazine publisher and membership organization that strives to inspire, instruct and nurture the art and skill of quiltmaking.
AQS provides a forum for quilters of all skill levels to expand their horizons in quiltmaking, quilt design, self-expression and quilt collection. This is accomplished by publishing quilting books, quilting magazines, quilt shows, quilt contests, quilting workshops, and a membership organization.
AQS is the publisher of quilting books and two quilting magazines, American Quilter and The Quilt Life. This quilting membership organization conducts four quilt shows and contests each year in Lancaster, PA, Paducah, KY, Grand Rapids, MI, and Des Moines, IA. These quilt shows and quilt contests attract thousands of quilt enthusiasts from around the world who enter quilts in the contests and attend the shows.
During its 27-year history, AQS has set the standard of excellence in offering quilting products, quilting workshops, a Quilt Appraiser Certification Program, quilt shows and contests and other activities in the world of quilting.
Ora vado ad aggiornare il mio sito e nei prossimi giorni vi racconterò tante altre belle cose (belle per me... e spero piacevoli per chi mi segue...)
A PRESTO!!!
